history
The EKD founded the Evangelical Workers 'Union and in 1952 the Evangelical Action Group for Workers' Issues (AkfA). This development was replicated in the regional church and it trained social secretaries who began their service in 1954. In 1958 the head of the men's work in the office for community service , Pastor Stühl, was additionally entrusted with the duties of a social pastor of the regional church. In 1962 Wilhelm Fahlbusch replaced Pastor Stühl as the state social pastor. In 1963 the social vicarage separated from the men's work and formed a separate area as social and industrial work in the AfG, and the industrial vicarage was founded in 1963. In 1976 it was renamed Church Service in the Working World (KDA).
