The church square is an inner-city square in the Radebeul district of the Saxon city of Radebeul . The Luther Church is on it at Kirchplatz 1 .

Development

The church square, as the outside area of ​​the church, including the forecourt, is also a listed building (ancillary building under monument preservation). The church square connects Meißner Strasse and Karl-May-Strasse to the south . In the middle of the square is the church, with the tower facing Meißner Straße. There, between house numbers 99 and 101, is the church forecourt. The Luther Church occupies the address Kirchplatz 1 there.

On the east side of the forecourt, behind a hedge, borders the lower-lying honor grove , which is protected as a garden monument within the church monument. The church square runs in front of the hedge, past the church, as a footpath to the southern rear of the church. To the east of the footpath, with the entrance on the south side, is the newly built parish hall. To the east of this new building is the rear garden of the Karl May Museum .

On the back of the square on Karl-May-Straße, the church square occupies the property entrance between Karl-May-Straße 9 and 11. While number 9 is used as a children's playground and provides the passage to the church and Meißner Straße, it is formerly also known as Karl -May-Straße 11 assigned address built on. The old parish and parsonage of the Luther parish is located there , today at the postal address Kirchplatz 2. The entrance to the square leads to parking lots in front of the entrance to the newly built parish hall.
