Kirsti Leirtrø

Kirsti Leirtrø (born August 27, 1963 in Stjørdal ) is a Norwegian politician of the social democratic party Arbeiderpartiet (Ap). She has been a member of the Storting since 2017 .

Life

After finishing school, Leitrø worked as an office worker until 1994, before becoming IT manager in Ørland municipality . From 1996 she studied computer science and from 2003 to 2013 she worked as IT manager for the municipalities of Ørland and Bjugn . From 1995 to 1999 she was a member of Ørland's municipal parliament, and from 2003 to 2017 she sat in the fylkesting of what was then the province of Sør-Trøndelag .

Leirtrø entered the Norwegian national parliament in Storting for the first time in the 2017 general election . She represents the constituency of Sør-Trøndelag and became a member of the Transport and Communication Committee.
