Kiyoshi Ōkuma ( Japanese 大熊 清 , Ōkuma Kiyoshi ; born June 21, 1964 in Saitama Prefecture ) is a former Japanese football player and coach.

Career

Ōkuma learned to play football on the school team of Saitama Urawa Minami High School and the university team of Chūō University . He signed his first contract in 1987 with Tokyo Gas (today: FC Tokyo). He played there from 1987 to 1992 and was later coach of that team from 1994. In 1998 he was with the club champions of the Japan Football League and rose to the J2 League . In 1999 he was runner-up in the J2 League with the club and was promoted to the J1 League . From 2002 to 2005 Ōkuma coached the U-20 junior national team . In 2010 he returned to FC Tokyo . In 2010 he was relegated to the J2 League with the club. A year later he celebrated the championship of the second division with Tokyo and rose straight back to J1. In 2011 he won the Kaiser Cup with the club .
