In 1965 Tomizawa made his debut for the Japanese national soccer team . Tomizawa made 9 international appearances and scored 2 goals. With the Japanese national team he qualified for the Olympic Games in 1964 and 1968 . At the Olympic Games in 1968, Japan won the bronze medal.
