Clarifying bath

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

A clarifying bath is primarily used in chemotechnical photography to wash out the silver that has been oxidized again by the bleaching bath from the layer during reverse processes ( see reverse development ) . The active substance is mostly sodium sulfite ; in many cases, however, it is already contained in the bleach bath.
