The factory locomotives Klöckner Hütte No. 19 to 21 of the Klöcknerhütte in Hagen-Haspe are tank locomotives with a B wheel arrangement.

history

In 1956 Jung delivered three locomotives with a gauge of 900 mm to the Klöcknerhütte works railway in Hagen-Haspe. These were derived from the KDL 10 war locomotive . They were used on the Hasper coal railway and the Hasper Hütte factory premises with the numbers 19 to 21. Locomotive 21 was at times number 4.

Machines also derived from the KDL 10 have proven themselves at the Oberrheinische Eisenbahn-Gesellschaft (OEG) and the Mittelbadische Eisenbahn-Gesellschaft (MEG) in the route service ( Krauss-Maffei KB 10 ).

In the mid-1960s, dieselization began at Hasper Hütte, which is why the steam locomotives were gradually turned off. In 1970, the parked locomotive no. 19 of which was historical interest group rail eV (IHS) purchased and after gauging to 1000 mm in Bw of Wuppertal-Vohwinkel German Federal Railways and the main work of city Grunewald of Duisburg Transport Company from 10 July 1971 as a locomotive in front of the museum trains on the remaining section of the Geilenkirchener Kreisbahn (GKB), the Selfkantbahn . It has been shut down since 1977.

When locomotives 20 and 21 became superfluous in 1972 in the course of the dissolution of Hasper Hütte, the IHS also acquired them in 1973 and 1974 and named them Haspe ( no.20 from 1980) and Hagen (no.21 from 1986) after the refurbishment . . Krefelder Verkehrs-AG (KREVAG) took part in the renovation work, and locomotive no.20 was temporarily used on their tram tracks in 1973. As one of the attractions at the 650th anniversary of the city of Krefeld, it ran with the two cars 118 and 119 of the Düren steam tram on a circuit through the Krefeld city center.

Due to the harshness of the work at Klöckner, all heating pipes and a large number of studs had to be completely replaced on the three locomotives at IHS before the expiry of three years of operation. During the same period of time, a ring patch was inserted into the copper fire box of locomotive 21 in the area of the fire hole.

Constructive features

The locomotives have a water tank in the frame and coal boxes in front of the driver's cab. They have Heusinger controls and a piston valve. The drive takes place on the second axis. The compressed air brake and the lighting system were only installed for the Selfkant track. Originally there was a buffer bracket and a coupling hook arranged above it, but the locomotives on the Selfkantbahn were given a balancing lever coupling .
