Klaas Veenhof

Klaas R. Veenhof (* 1935 ) is a Dutch ancient orientalist .

Initially professor at the University of Amsterdam , he was professor at the University of Leiden from 1982 until his retirement .

It has become particularly popular in the first half of the second millennium BC. Chr. Busy, especially with the Assyrian merchant texts from the karūm Kaneš , but also well-known introductory works written.
