The Klagenfurt is a motor ship owned by WSG Wörthersee Schifffahrt GmbH and has been sailing on Lake Wörthersee in Carinthia since June 18, 1971 .

history

The ship was ordered on March 20, 1970 and construction was completed on March 29, 1971 in Klagenfurt. The launch took place on May 10, 1971. On June 18, 1971, the ship was christened and put into operation.

In 1988 the ship was rebuilt by Wörthersee Schifffahrt. The main deck was lengthened, the staircase relocated, the roof behind the wheelhouse lengthened and new interior fittings installed.

In spring 2012, a complete renovation of the upper deck began. For the first time, cameras are to be used to control the ship.

drive

The ship initially had an engine from MAN with an output of 160  kW (220 PS), which acts on a Schottel rudder propeller. This was exchanged in 1984 for a Mercedes engine with the same output.
