Klaipėdos autobusų parkas

UAB Klaipėdos autobusų parkas is a bus company in the third largest Lithuanian city ​​of Klaipėda . It has 116 buses and employs around 360 people. Around 14 million passengers are carried every year. The company operates ten city routes, eight suburban routes, eleven long-distance routes and four international routes: to Erfurt , Kaliningrad , Riga and Tallinn .

history

On November 5, 1955 the state enterprise "Taxomotorische Autowirtschaft von Bussen" (lit. Autobusų-taksomotorinis autoūkis ) was established. In 1972 the company was reconstructed. At that time there were 260 buses (" LAZ " and " Ikarus "). In Soviet Lithuania , 20 to 30 new buses were bought every year. In 1992 the taxi park with 200 vehicles was separated from operations. In 1995, Klaipėdos autobusų parkas became Uždaroji akcinė bendrovė (UAB). The owner was the city (city council) of Klaipėda. In 1999 the Swedish government donated 27 buses. In 2003 a public institution Viešoji įstaiga " Klaipėdos keleivinis transportas " was founded. From 2004 to 2005 45 Mercedes and MAN buses were bought.
