Natural reserve quarry forest plots north of Amecke
The nature reserve quarry forest parcels north of Amecke with a size of 3.1 ha is located near Amecke in the urban area of Sundern (Sauerland) in the Hochsauerland district . The area was designated as a nature reserve (NSG) with an area of 2.7 ha for the first time in 1993 with the Sundern landscape plan by the district council of the Hochsauerlandkreis . When the landscape planner Sundern was reorganized, the NSG was again identified and enlarged. The NSG consists of four sub-areas. The NSG is directly adjacent to the Sundern nature reserve . The southern sub-area borders on the development with the former Amecke open-air swimming pool.
Protection purpose
In the NSG, the alder break is to protect with species inventory. As with all nature reserves in Germany, the protection designation pointed out that the area became a nature reserve “because of the rarity, special character and beauty of the area”.
