Wolfsbeil nature reserve

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Wolfsbeil nature reserve with an area of 13.4  hectares is located between Hachen and Müschede in the city of Sundern and in the Hochsauerlandkreis . The area was designated as a nature reserve (NSG) by the district council of the Hochsauerlandkreis in 2019 with the Sundern landscape plan . From 1993 the area was designated as part of the Sundern nature reserve. The NSG goes to the city limits. To the south, the Röhr nature reserve borders directly to the north of Hachen .

description

The NSG is a woodruff or pearl grass beech forest in the strong tree wood age on a nameless, rounded hilltop. The landscape plan explains the NSG: “Individual trunk or clusters of other tree species such as oak, hornbeam, ash and spruce are added. There are ash trees on the lower slope and spruce trees on the upper slope. The forest biotope complex has a species-rich and lush herbaceous layer, while the shrub layer is rather sparse. There are four old burial mounds in the NSG. "

Protection purpose

According to the landscape plan, it was designated as:

  • "Protection and maintenance of near-natural, rare beech forest communities and their communities in a forest landscape dominated by coniferous forests through natural forest management;"
  • "Protection and preservation of culturally and historically valuable relics."
  • "The NSG also serves to sustainably secure the occurrence of rare animal and plant species."

bid

A special requirement was issued for the NSG . The command is "Forestry is only permitted under careful forestry machinery, taking into account the relics of cultural and historical importance."
