description

The NSG is a mixed oak forest stand that resulted from coppice forest use . The trees everywhere still show the characteristic multi-stemmed habit. The relic of the historical form of forest use stagnates predominantly in the southwest to southern exposure, often on the relatively steep slope of the Eischeberg, and for the most part has a layer of herbs rich in dwarf shrubs.

The landscape plan shows the nature reserves with coppice in the city of Sundern: “There are still numerous, mostly well-developed coppice areas in the planning area. Make as relics of a historic forest management form of evidence of the cultural landscape of this area. In resumption and continuation of coppice typical management form, the present area increases within a coppice composite system a special position.
