District roads in Germany
District roads in Germany is a summary of all lists of district roads in the Federal Republic of Germany.
Baden-Württemberg
The district roads in Baden-Württemberg have the letter K , which is always followed by a number with four digits. The first two digits (up to 83) indicate the district. For each district at least 200, for some districts ( Heidenheim , Heilbronn , Ravensburg and Schwäbisch Hall ) also 300 numbers are kept free. 50 numbers (from 9500) are kept free for the district roads in the city districts.
Overview:
Bavaria
The district roads in Bavaria bear the letters of the vehicle distinguishing sign, e.g. B. DAH for the district of Dachau , which is always followed by a number with up to two digits. An s is added to the letter ( s) on the district roads in urban cities if there is a district with the same distinctive sign, e.g. B. ROs at the district roads in Rosenheim , but on the other hand SC at the district roads in Schwabach .
Berlin
There are no district roads in Berlin .
Brandenburg
The district roads in Brandenburg bear the letter K , which is always followed by a number with four digits. The first two digits indicate the district. These are the district codes of the official key numbers . There are no county roads in the independent cities.

Bremen and Hamburg
There are no district roads in Bremen or Hamburg .
Hesse
The district roads in Hesse have the letter K , which is always followed by a number with up to three digits.
North Hesse
The district roads in the districts of the administrative district of Kassel are numbered consecutively from 1 in each district as required.
Central and South Hesse
The district roads in the Darmstadt administrative district were originally numbered according to a specific numbering plan. The lowest district street numbers were selected for the Bergstrasse district and the highest for the Main-Kinzig district.
The numbering was usually done in the following order:
Bergstrasse district, Odenwaldkreis, Darmstadt-Dieburg district, Groß-Gerau district, Darmstadt district, Offenbach district, Offenbach am Main district, Wetterau district, Rheingau-Taunus district, Wiesbaden district, Hochtaunus district, Main-Taunus district, urban district Frankfurt am Main and finally Main-Kinzig-Kreis.
The numbering of the district roads in the Lahn-Dill district and in the Limburg-Weilburg district, which have belonged to the Gießen administrative district since January 1, 1981, still largely follow this numbering plan.
Specialty
The district road K 203 of the district Bergstrasse (actually in Ober-Laudenbach ) lies completely in the area of the state of Baden-Württemberg (see adjacent map).
Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania
The district roads in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania carried the letter K until the regional reform in 2011 , which was always followed by a number with up to two digits. The numbering was retained when crossing the district boundaries.
Today all district roads bear the abbreviation of the current district (for example VG ), the abbreviation of the old district (for example GÜ ), the abbreviation of the district-free city ( HRO or SN ) or the abbreviation of a formerly independent city ( HWI or NB ). You go different ways in the districts:
- The district of Northwest Mecklenburg kept its previous numbering.
- The Ludwigslust-Parchim district took over the numbering of the previous Ludwigslust district . Those district roads that existed exclusively in the Parchim district were given names from 101 - usually by placing the number 1 or the number sequence 10 in front .
- In the Mecklenburg Lake District district , the district roads have been renumbered.
- The district of Vorpommern-Greifswald took over the numbering of the previous district of Ostvorpommern . The following numbers were given to the district roads of the previous district of Uecker-Randow . This was followed by the district roads of the former Demmin district .
- The district roads in the other two districts bear the letters of the vehicle distinguishing sign of the respective old district, z. B. GÜ for the old district of Güstrow in the Rostock district , which is always followed by a number with up to two digits.
Lower Saxony
The district roads in Lower Saxony carry the letter K , which is always followed by a number with up to three digits.
North Rhine-Westphalia
The district roads in North Rhine-Westphalia bear the letter K , which is always followed by a number with up to two digits. The numbering is usually retained when the district borders are exceeded.
Rhineland-Palatinate
The district roads in Rhineland-Palatinate carry the letter K , which is always followed by a number with up to three digits.
Saarland
In Saarland there are no county roads. They are replaced by the state roads of the second order , which correspond to the district roads in other federal states.
Saxony
The district roads in Saxony bear the letter K , which is always followed by a number with four digits. The first two digits indicate the district that existed until the 2008 regional reform. These are the former district codes of the official key numbers .

Saxony-Anhalt
The district roads in Saxony-Anhalt carry the letter K , which is always followed by a number with four digits. They were first numbered nationwide. The district streets in the former Magdeburg district received a 1 as the first digit and those in the former Halle district a 2 . The district roads in the Jessen district , which belonged to the Cottbus district , began with the number 3 .
The new district roads in the district of Jerichower Land are mainly given numbers that have already been assigned in other districts.
Schleswig-Holstein
The district roads in Schleswig-Holstein have the letter K , which is always followed by a number with up to three digits.
Thuringia
The district roads in Thuringia carry the letter K , which is always followed by a number with up to three digits, in the Schmalkalden-Meiningen district also with four digits.
