Erlenbruch Nature Reserve Klingeln Siepen

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The nature reserve Erlenbruch Klingeln Siepen with a size of 2.3  hectares is located south of Bönkhausen in the urban area of Sundern (Sauerland) . The area was designated as a nature reserve (NSG) with an area of 0.75 ha for the first time in 1993 with the Sundern landscape plan by the district council of the Hochsauerlandkreis . When the landscape planner Sundern was reorganized, the NSG was again identified and enlarged. The NSG is surrounded by the Sundern nature reserve .

In the 1993 landscape plan, the area was designated as a nature reserve Erlenbruch Klingersiepen , although the correct name of the area is Klingeln Siepen .

description

The nature reserve includes the Klingersiepen stream , later also known as the Bönkhauser stream , with fragments of alder and floodplain forest accompanying the stream, as well as a sloping quellar forest that is criss-crossed by gravelly seepage channels.

Protection purpose

In the NSG, the alder break is to protect with species inventory. As with all nature reserves in Germany, the protection designation pointed out that the area became a nature reserve “because of the rarity, special character and beauty of the area”.
