Erlenbruch Denstenberg nature reserve

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The nature reserve Erlenbruch Denstenberg with a size of 0.3  hectares is located southwest of Dörnholthausen in the urban area of Sundern (Sauerland) . The area was designated as a nature reserve (NSG) with an area of 0.25 ha for the first time in 1993 with the Sundern landscape plan by the district council of the Hochsauerlandkreis . When the landscape planner Sundern was reorganized, the NSG was identified again and slightly enlarged. The NSG is surrounded by the Sundern nature reserve.

In the databases of the LANUV and the Federal Agency for Nature Conservation , the NSG is incorrectly listed as the Erlenbruch Densterberg nature reserve .

Protection purpose

In the NSG, the alder break is to protect with species inventory. As with all nature reserves in Germany, the protection designation pointed out that the area became a nature reserve “because of the rarity, special character and beauty of the area”.
