The flap is a biennial in Salzburg take-find film festival for Erstfilme young filmmakers from German speaking countries.

The festival shows first works by directors aged 12 to 22 years. All films submitted will be included in the program; an approach that only a few youth film festivals, such as the Indian Bring Your Own Film Festival, practice. A preliminary jury of young people selects the films in the competition. An expert jury, a youth jury and the audience decide on the award of the prize. The most highly endowed film award is the big mouth.

The flap was founded in 1999 and has taken place every odd year since then. The main program usually lasts two days. In addition, side programs are shown, in 2005 a selection from the Vienna Short Film Festival Vienna Independent Shorts .

The organizers are Aktion Film Salzburg, offscreen - open film forum salzburg, Studio West and the spectrum association.
