With the name Class of Skyphoi A1 (English Ure's Class of Skyphoi A1 ) a class of Attic - black-figure skyphoi defined by its shape and its decoration system is referred to. It is in the second half of the 6th century BC. And is to be placed chronologically before the class of Skyphoi A2 and clearly before the Skyphoi of Class A3. Two skyphoi of the type were found in Rhitsona in Boeotia , and two more in Berezan . The vessels have black lips with a groove below the slightly convex edge. The lowest part of the wall of the vases remained undecorated. On the vases from Rhitsona, a satyr and a maenad or a crouching warrior are depicted between handle palmettes, and often depictions of courtship are also depicted. The quality of the drawing is poor.

The name goes back to Annie D. Ure and Percy N. Ure , other pieces were assigned to the class by John D. Beazley .
