Klaukkala ( Swedish Klövskog ) is a place in the municipality of Nurmijärvi in southern Finland. It has around 17,300 inhabitants and it is the largest of the villages in Nurmijärvi and is often mistakenly viewed as a separate town. Former Finnish Prime Minister Matti Vanhanen currently lives in Lepsämä, an area of Klaukkala .

Klaukkala is the fastest growing area of Nurmijärvi. It mainly emigrated from the Helsinki metropolitan area , as a rural village half an hour's drive from central Helsinki, it mainly attracts families with children. The distance from Klaukkala to the Espoo border and also to the Vantaa border is approximately 5 km and the distance to Helsinki is less than 30 km. The increase in traffic due to population growth is causing problems. For this reason, since the 1980s, a motorway has been planned between State Road 3 and Numlahti, which bypasses the Klaukkala, and possibly a rail link to Helsinki, probably as a continuation of the Vantaankoski rail . In 2017 the construction of the new center of the Klaukkala, Viirinlaakso, started. Seven new multi-family houses and a traffic junction with a new bus stop will be built.

Klaukkala has several grocery stores and two shopping centers : Kauppakeskus Viiri with Kesko's K-Citymarket and 17 other shops and Kauppakeskus Brunni with the S-Group's S-Market . There are many elementary schools in Klaukkala, the largest of which is Isoniitun koulu, which includes all 9 grades of the Finnish elementary school system. In 2017 a new multi-purpose building called "Monikko" was built in the Klaukkala sports area. Klaukkala also has one of Nurmijärvi's three gyms, Arkadian yhteislyseo. A possible tourist attraction is the Klaukkala Church, built in 2004. The village also has a wooden Orthodox church of Nectarius of the Pentapolis .
