history

Hostačov was first mentioned in a document in 1298. Probably at the beginning of the 14th century, the Vladiken Hostačovský of Petrovice built a simple Gothic fortress . Bohuslav von Hostačov had his seat here in 1318. The oldest written record about the fortress comes from 1542, when Václav Tuněchodský from Poběžovice bought the estate. For a long time Hostačov consisted only of the fortress, a farmyard, a brewery and a tavern. Under Heřman Bohdanecký von Hodkov, who bought the estate in 1557, the fortress was converted into a castle. At the beginning of the 17th century the manor belonged to the Chotouchovský von Nebovid family. Around 1650 Maria Magdalena von der Goltz acquired the Hostačov estate and assigned it to the Jenikow rulership . When her second husband, the Imperial General Feldzeugmeister Martin Maximilian von der Goltz , died in 1653, he was named Dominus in Jenikow et Hostaczow in the grave inscription of the Jenikow Loretto Chapel . In 1686 the Hostačov estate with Chrastice and Zvěstovice was again separated from Jenikow and sold to Johann Georg Funck von Funcken. From 1717 the Dohalský von Dohalice owned the estate. In 1735 Vratislav Bořek Dohalický of Nelice had a large chapel built next to the chateau. Used as Maria von Virmont took over the rule Jenikow in 1747, the Hostačov manor was again attached to it. Likewise in 1759, when her son-in-law Anton Corfiz Ulfeldt took over both estates. Later the Hostačov estate was completely merged with Goltsch-Jenikau.

In 1840 the village of Hostačow , located in the Caslauer Kreis , consisted of 13 houses in which 86 people, including a Protestant family, lived. In the village there was a stately castle with a park as well as an orchard and kitchen garden, a public chapel of St. Johannes von Nepomuk, a manorial farm with sheep, a mill with a board saw and an inn. Aside from that, there were the single layers of Babylon or pavilion (2 Dominical houses), a stately hunter's house and a mill. The parish for the village and the layers was Žleb , the castle and the chapel were parish in Jenikau. 1846 in Hostačow one of the first sugar mills in Caslauer county built. Hostačow remained subject to the Goltsch-Jenikau rule until the middle of the 19th century .

After the abolition of patrimonial Hostačov formed from 1849 a district of the municipality of Skryje in the judicial district of Habern . From 1868 the place belonged to the Časlau district . In 1869 Hostačov had 263 inhabitants and consisted of 14 houses. In 1883 the sugar factory received a branch line connection to the Znojmo – Nymburk line . Since the beginning of the 20th century the village was divided into two parts: Hostačov 1. díl belonged to the municipality of Skryje, Hostačov 2. díl to the municipality of Zvěstovice . In 1900 there were 212 people in Hostačov, in 1910 there were 205. After the death of Arthur Clanner von Engelshofen, who had acquired the manor in 1876, his widow sold the estate in 1906 to Franz Joseph von Auersperg at Žleby Castle . After the land reform of 1924, the chateau, the sugar factory and the remaining part of the Křemen manor were incorporated into a joint stock company. In 1930 Hostačov had 157 inhabitants and consisted of 22 houses. In 1945 the Auersperg princes were expropriated and the palace was nationalized. The distinction between 1. díl and 2. díl was omitted; individual houses still belong to Zvěstovice. The sugar factory ceased operations in 1958; A factory of the East Bohemian Paper Mill started production in its buildings from 1960. Since the territorial reform of 1960 the village has belonged to Okres Havlíčkův Brod . The branch line was shut down in 1964 and later dismantled. In early 1989 it was incorporated into Golčův Jeníkov . Since November 24, 1990, Hostačov has been part of Skryje again. In the 2001 census, 105 people lived in the village's 24 houses.

Local division

The one-layer Na Doubravě belongs to Hostačov. The district is part of the cadastral district of Skryje u Golčova Jeníkova.

From 1945 to 1989 the chateau served as a recreation and rehabilitation center for the Ústecký kraj , then until 2004 under the responsibility of the Chomutov social welfare institution . Former Chapel of St. John of Nepomuk

The plans for the octagonal structure, consecrated in 1735, are attributed to Johann Blasius Santini-Aichl . The Clanner von Engelshofen family used the chapel as a family grave. In the years 1906–1907, Anna Clanner von Engelshofen made repairs. In 1920 the ceiling of the chapel collapsed and the ceiling frescoes with scenes from the life of St. John of Nepomuk destroyed. After the end of the Second World War, the chapel was devastated. At the request of the local national committee in Skryje, the Ministry of Education and Culture lifted the monument protection in April 1962. After another ceiling collapse, it was demolished in July 1968. In the place of the chapel, a bus stop and the parking lot of the paper mill were built.
