Klaus-Peter Horn

Klaus-Peter Horn (born July 10, 1960 in Wertheim ) is a German educational scientist and university professor at the Georg-August-Universität Göttingen .

Life

In 1980 Horn graduated from the Dietrich-Bonhoeffer-Gymnasium Wertheim and then did community service . From 1982 to 1987 he studied educational science , sociology , psychology and philosophy at the Johann Wolfgang Goethe University in Frankfurt am Main , with a degree in education. In 1995 the doctorate to Dr. phil. at the Johann Wolfgang Goethe University in Frankfurt am Main and in 2002 the habilitation for educational science at the Humboldt University in Berlin .

From 1987 to 1991, Horn was a research assistant at the Johann Wolfgang Goethe University in Frankfurt am Main and then until 2004 at the Humboldt University in Berlin. During this time he was a part-time lecturer in teacher training in the state of Brandenburg from 1996 to 1997. From 1999 to 2000 Horn represented the professorship for educational science with a focus on theories of education and training at the Johann Wolfgang Goethe University in Frankfurt am Main and then until 2002 the professorship for general educational science with a focus on historical educational research at the University of Dortmund . From 2004 to 2011 Horn was Professor of General Pedagogy at the Eberhard Karls University of Tübingen , Institute for Educational Science. Here Horn was also the commissioner for studies and teaching at the Institute for Educational Science and a member of the Scientific Council of the Interfaculty Center for Ethics in Science .

Since the 2011/2012 winter semester, Horn has been Professor of General Pedagogy with a focus on the institutionalization of education at the Pedagogical Seminar of the Georg-August University in Göttingen.

Services

The focus of work and research of Klaus-Peter Horn is the university education, theory, history and empirical knowledge of pedagogical and educational science, the history of educational science and education as well as "education after Auschwitz ".

Horn is co-editor of the Internet review magazine "Erziehungswissenschaftliche Revue" and editor and member of the editorial board of the "Yearbook for Historical Educational Research". He is a member of the German Society for Educational Science and the spokesperson for the International Standing Working Group "Cross-cultural Influences in the History of Education".
