Klaus Albert (born February 8, 1951 ) is a former German football player . From July 1974 he played for Schwarz-Weiß Essen in the 2. Bundesliga North , after having been active for the club for four seasons in the Regionalliga West . For the 1977/78 season he went to Fortuna Cologne . Two years later he moved to SC Viktoria within Cologne . There he ended his professional career in 1981. Albert played a total of 216 games in the 2nd Bundesliga and scored 15 goals.
