Klaus Eberhardt (Manager)

Klaus Eberhardt (born February 24, 1948 in Sulz am Neckar ) is a German manager and chairman of the supervisory board of MTU Aero Engines .

Eberhardt was born the son of a master craftsman on February 24, 1948 in Sulz am Neckar , where he also grew up. From 1966 to 1972 he studied mathematics, physics and economics in Tübingen , where he graduated as a mathematician. From 1972 he worked at Standard Elektrik Lorenz AG (SEL) , from 1985 at Messerschmitt Bölkow-Blohm GmbH (later DASA ). Then, from July 1, 1992, he worked for TEMIC Telefunken microelectronic GmbH . There he acted as managing director and deputy chairman of the management board. On March 1, 1997, he moved to Rheinmetall AG and was appointed to the board of Rheinmetall Elektronik AG . From 2000 to 2012 Eberhardt was CEO of Rheinmetall AG. In 2007 he became a member of the supervisory board of MTU Aero Engines AG in Munich, which he has represented as chairman of the supervisory board since 2008.
