Klaus Jessen

Klaus Jessen (born June 20, 1964 in Kiel , † January 27, 2002 in Sønderborg , Denmark ) was a German crime writer.

After an apprenticeship as an electrician, he began a second training at the prison in Kiel. After various activities in Kiel and Neumünster, he moved to the Flensburg correctional facility in 1997. In addition to his main occupation, he has been writing short stories for magazines such as TV Neu and Freizeit Revue since 1996 . In 1999 he published his first short crime anthology (together with Leif Boysen) with Kurz und painless (Bachmaier Verlag, Munich). He later published the anthology Marry me or die . This book caused a sensation at the Frankfurt Book Fair because many thought it was a marriage counselor. In 2001 the third anthology Not quite watertight was published . Klaus Jessen's early death prevented the completion of his fourth book, which was planned as a factual novel with autobiographical features.
