Klaus Löscher

Klaus Löscher (born August 2, 1939 ) is a former German soccer player. In the 1960s he played second division football in Zwickau .

Athletic career

Until 1962 Klaus Löscher played together with his twin brother Werner Löscher with the company sports community (BSG) activist "Karl Marx" Zwickau in the third-class II. GDR league . In 1962, the BSG was promoted to the first GDR league. In the second-class league, Klaus Löscher was a regular for the Zwickau team until 1969 as a forward. During this period, he missed only 13 of the 206 league games played. In every season he was one of the goalscorers and scored a total of 47 goals. In his first second division season he was the top scorer of the BSG activist with 13 goals. For the second half of the 1968/69 season, the BSG activist joined the BSG Sachsenring Zwickau and then continued to play in the GDR league as their second team. Klaus Löscher played his last season in the GDR league in 1969/70, he was only used in three league games, but was again successful with one goal. After retiring as a competitive footballer, he was able to look back on 196 GDR league games and 47 goals.
