Werner Loescher
Werner Löscher (born August 2, 1939 ) is a former German soccer player. In Zwickau and Werdau he was represented in the second division football of the GDR in the 1960s and 1970s .
Athletic career
In 1962, the almost 23-year-old Werner Löscher and his twin brother Klaus Löscher and the company sports association (BSG) activist "Karl Marx" Zwickau rose from the third-rate 2nd GDR League to the 1st GDR League . In his first season in second division football, Werner Löscher was a regular player with 23 appearances in a total of 26 point games and five goals, after which, in contrast to his brother, he only played a subordinate role in the BSG activist. In the seasons 1963/64 and 1964/65 he was only called up in one league game, in 1965/66 three times. After he was able to increase his betting rate to nine games in the GDR league in 1966/67, he played 19 league games in 1967/68 and 13 league games in 1968/69. In his seven GDR league seasons he scored ten goals.
At the beginning of the second half of the season in 1968/69 Werner Löscher moved to BSG Motor Werdau in the third-class district league Karl-Marx-Stadt since 1963 . With her he became district champion, but the team missed promotion to the GDR league in the qualifying games. In 1971 Werner Löscher was again district champion with Werdau and also made it up. In the two GDR league seasons 1971/72 and 1972/73 he was only a substitute at Motor Werdau. 1971/72 he had four point game stakes share in the relay victory of the team, which then took part in the promotion games to the league. Werner Löscher played in one of the eight qualifying games, but Werdau was the last of five teams to miss promotion. After he had only played one league game in 1972/73, he then ended his career as a football player in the higher leagues at the age of 34. There he had played 75 games between 1962 and 1973 in the second-rate GDR league and scored eleven goals. In the 1973/74 season he appeared again as a trainer for BSG Motor Werdau in the GDR league.
