Klaus Liebich

Klaus Liebich (born June 26, 1929 in Leipzig ) is a German photographer , lecturer and book illustrator .

Life

Klaus Liebich is the son of the accountant Arthur Paul Walter Liebich. From April 1, 1947, he studied at the Academy of Graphic Arts and Book Industry in Leipzig, which from April 26, 1947 was called the Leipzig School of Graphics and Book Art (HGB), with J. Widmann among others. He finished his studies in 1949.

On February 1, 1952, Liebich received a teaching position at the HGB and in September 1952 became a technical assistant in the photography department. After his diploma in 1957, he became assistant for the basic studies and in 1960 senior assistant. From 1963 to 1992 he was a lecturer in the photography department.

In his photographic work in the 1960s he devoted himself particularly to the development of the city of Leipzig, and he created photo series of public figures, urban design and urban planning. In the 1980s, the documentation was about the village of Dölitzsch, a district of the Narsdorf community in what was then the Geithain district , where he owned a summer apartment. Manors and manors in the district of Leipzig followed .

Klaus Liebich lives in the Leipzig district of Liebertwolkwitz .
