Klaus Maurer

Klaus Maurer (born September 30, 1958 in Velbert ) was chief fire director of the Hamburg professional fire department .

Maurer studied from 1979 to 1984 at the University of Wuppertal and from 1984 to 1987 was a research assistant at the chair for building mechanics. From 1987 to 2001 he was employed by the Cologne fire brigade , most recently as its deputy head. From 2001 to 2006 he headed the fire department Karlsruhe, from 2006 to 2018 the professional fire brigade Hamburg.

Klaus Maurer developed the Maurer scheme named after him .
