Klaus Probst

Klaus Probst (born June 19, 1953 in Nuremberg ) is a German manager .

Life

Probst studied chemical engineering at the Friedrich-Alexander-Universität Erlangen-Nürnberg from 1975 to 1980 and then obtained his doctorate in 1982 while working as a Dr.-Ing. In 1980 he joined Großkraftwerk Franken AG as a planning engineer and later became head of department. From 1989 Probst worked in the cable division of Leoni AG as plant manager in Roth. In 1997 he became a deputy member of the board and in 1999 a full member. In June 2002 he succeeded Ernst Thoma as CEO. On February 17, 2006, he was elected to the Supervisory Board of Grammer AG and has been its chairman since May 26, 2011. On May 7, 2015, he resigned from the Management Board of Leoni AG. He was elected to the Supervisory Board at the Leoni 2017 Annual General Meeting and Chairman of the Supervisory Board in the subsequent Supervisory Board meeting. He also sits on the supervisory board of Zapp AG and is on the advisory boards of Deutsche Bank , the Diehl Foundation and Richard Berger Holding, Schwabach.

Probst is married and has two children.
