Klaus Rickert

Klaus Rickert (born July 22, 1946 in Bekmünde ) is a German politician and member of the Lower Saxony state parliament .

education and profession

After graduating from high school and doing military service, Rickert studied business administration in Hamburg. From 1973 to 1998 he held a managerial position in various companies in the electrical industry, the food industry, and mechanical and plant engineering. From 1999 until his election to the state parliament, he was a lecturer in business administration at the University of Applied Sciences Oldenburg / Ostfriesland / Wilhelmshaven .

politics

Rickert has been a member of the FDP since 1975 . He was chairman of the Oldenburg-Stadt district association and, as treasurer of the Lower Saxony state association, is a member of the state executive board.

Rickert has been a member of the Lower Saxony state parliament since 2003. Since 2008 he has been deputy chairman of the FDP parliamentary group. He has announced that he will not run again in the 2013 state election.
