Klaus Scheurich

Klaus Christoph Scheurich (born October 27, 1951 in Urloffen ) is a German documentary filmmaker , cameraman and producer .

Life

Klaus Scheurich is cameraman and producer at Marco Polo Film AG in Heidelberg, where he is responsible for the development and production of documentary films. He is a graduate geologist and is interested in natural, environmental and scientific topics. Together with his wife Annette, Klaus Scheurich founded the production company Marco Polo Film AG. Since then he has filmed and produced nature and expedition films. He worked for national and international broadcasters and organizations and filmed for Werner Herzog's documentary "The White Diamond". Klaus Scheurich is considered one of the pioneers in high definition filming in Germany.

As an expert on HDTV, he took part in panel discussions and gave lectures at congresses, festivals and events such as Dokville, Science, Jackson Hole Wildlife Film Festival, Naturale, Discovery Campus Symposium, ZDF-HD-Seminar, Insight-Out, Hff Academy, Potsdam and IRT symposia.

He is married to the documentary filmmaker and producer Annette Scheurich and has one son.
