Annette Scheurich
Annette Scheurich (born January 24, 1954 in Niefern-Öschelbronn ) is a German documentary filmmaker and producer .
Life
Annette Scheurich studied geology at the University of Heidelberg . She completed her studies as a geologist . During her studies she and her husband Klaus Scheurich discovered her love for nature and animal films and founded the film production company Marco Polo Film with him in 1984 , which produces documentaries in the fields of nature, animal films, adventure and science. Since then, Annette Scheurich has written and produced many documentaries , some of which have won international awards, including the film The White Diamond , directed by Werner Herzog . In 2000, the film production company Marco Polo Film became a stock corporation and has been operating as Marco Polo Film AG since then . Annette Scheurich is a member of the Documentary Film Working Group (AG Dok).
