Klaus Schier

Klaus Schier (born May 14, 1952 in Mirow ) is a German politician (formerly SPD ).

Schier went to school in Neustrelitz and then did an apprenticeship as an electric welder as well as basic military service . Professionally, he initially worked as a welder in the Lommatzsch damper construction, then he was shift supervisor in the beverage combine in Neubrandenburg ("Nordbräu") and from 1994 until the works council was closed.

Schier became a member of the SPD in 1997. He became a member of the state parliament in 1998 , a. a. as housing policy spokesman. The following year he became councilor of Neubrandenburg and was deputy chairman of the parliamentary group there. Schier was a member of the state parliament until 2002. After arguments with Harald Ringstorff , Schier was active in local politics for a community of voters.
