Klaus Zschunke
Klaus Zschunke (born July 27, 1934 in Pirna ; † September 15, 2002 ) was a German gymnast and gymnastics official and mathematics professor.
Life
Zschunke performed a total of seven times in the GDR national team. In 1955 he was GDR champion on the ground.
In 1960 he fled the GDR and successfully continued his gymnastics career.
Zschunke founded the specialist gymnastics magazine “ Gerätturnen aktuell” , which he headed from 1981 to 1989. It was the forerunner of today's LEON magazine .
He worked for many years as a mathematics professor at the Cologne University of Applied Sciences .
