Klein Curaçao is a small, uninhabited island in the Caribbean . It is located about eleven kilometers southeast of Curaçao .
On Klein Curaçao there is a former lighthouse , some occasionally inhabited fishermen's huts and on the rocky north coast some shipwrecks, such as the tanker Maria Bianca Guidesman , who crashed in 1986 .
The island is a popular starting point for scuba diving because of the surrounding coral reefs and underwater caves . It is approached almost daily by excursion and diving boats from the main island of Curaçao.
