Little Adventures with Spot is a British animated series that was produced between 1986 and 1993 . The stories about a yellow puppy are based on children's books by British illustrator and author Eric Hill.

Spot is a happy and curious dog who loves to hear bedtime stories . He enjoys exploring the world around him and goes on many trips with his parents to various places. He has many adventures with his friends, the monkey Max, the hippopotamus Nelly and the crocodile Tim.

Production and publication

The series was produced in the UK between 1986 and 1993. This resulted in 26 episodes in two seasons. The series first aired on September 1, 1986 on BBC One . The German first broadcast took place on December 10, 1998 on KiKA . Further broadcasts took place on ZDF . The series was also released on DVD and VHS cassettes. In addition, two Christmas specials and Spot's Musical Adventures with 13 special episodes were produced.
