Small library of the West

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Small Library of the West (abbreviation: KBA) is a book series that has been published by the Be & Be publishing house of Heiligenkreuz Abbey since autumn 2017 by the philosopher Hanna-Barbara Gerl-Falkovitz and the Germanist Gudrun Trausmuth .

Out-of-print and forgotten texts from literature, theology and philosophy, which express the spirituality of the West, are to be made available again in the KBA. One focus is on authors of the European Renouveau catholique , a literary and spiritual movement of the 20th century. The plan is to publish 4 to 6 volumes a year.

Each volume is introduced by a reading light : The cultural-historical, philological and philosophical statements of an expert are intended to illuminate the text and present the respective author in the context of his time and in his relevance.
