The Kleine Jägel (Latvian: Mazā Jugla ) is a river in Latvia northeast of the capital Riga .
The river has its source in the Ogre district and flows westward. On the banks there are partly sandstone and dolomite rocks . The course of the river is winding with some rapids. That is why the little Jugla is a popular destination for boaters. There was a hydroelectric power station near Augstpriede, but only ruins remain. After the confluence with the Great Jugla , the river, including the Jägelsee, is only called Jugla .
The largest tributaries are Ķivuļurga Ežupe , Lēģerurga , Abze , Pečorīte and Ošupīte .
