The silent film is a melodrama and tells the story of Eva and Bruno. Eva is a young woman from higher society who falls in love with the poor artist Bruno. However, she has to marry someone else, which is why Bruno goes insane and is sent to an asylum where he has to spend years. One day Eva visits this institution as part of a charity event. In his madness, Bruno thinks she is a tigress and strangles her.

The film was produced by Azteca Films , the production company of Enrique Rosas and Mimí Derba . Rosas also worked as a cameraman on the film. Mimí Derba was directed by a woman for the first time in the history of Mexican films, although some sources say that Rosas was responsible for the technical aspects.
