Location of small cakes in Baden-Württemberg

Kleinkuchen has been a sub-municipality of Großkuchen since 1935 and a district of Heidenheim an der Brenz since 1974 .

history

Two Celtic square entrenchments , one and a half kilometers southwest and 800 meters south of Kleinkuchen, as well as several Hallstatt-era burial mounds north and south of the village, show that Celts were settled in the 7th century BC. Chr.

In the 12th century, small cakes were mentioned next to large cakes, although both villages had largely the same owners. In 1258, large cakes and small cakes went to the Counts of Oettingen-Wallerstein and at the end of the 13th century to the Neresheim monastery, but without the village rule, which was then finally transferred in 1764. In 1375 the village was burned down by the donor Andreas von Wittislingen in the course of his feud with Neresheim. In 1802, Kleinkuchen went to the Thurn und Taxis company , from 1806 to 1810 Kleinkuchen came to Bavaria and then finally went to Württemberg .

There were major fires in 1826 and 1844 (due to lightning). In 1935, Kleinkuchen came to the community of Großkuchen. On July 1, 1974, Großkuchen (with small cake, Nietheim and Rotensohl) was incorporated into Heidenheim an der Brenz.
