The Kleinstein Cave is a rock gate on the south side of the Kleinstein in the Upper Saxon Switzerland. After the cowshed, it is the second largest rock gate in Saxon Switzerland .

The Kleinsteinhöhle is located in the hallway of the village of Ottendorf and above the Saupsdorfer Bach. The rock gate is about 10 meters high, about 10 to 12 meters wide and 5 to 7 meters deep. The rock arch is divided into two parts and is open at the top. On the valley side and also above the cave there are two viewpoints. The cave can be reached via a staircase.

The rock gate was portrayed in an etching by the painter Ludwig Richter in 1820 . To the left of the entrance to the rock gate there is the carved year “1586” on a rock face, this is the second oldest rock inscription in Saxon Switzerland.

The rock surrounding the cave is a climbing rock known as a "small stone wall". It is one of the most important climbing rocks in the Upper Saxon Switzerland. There are currently over 90 climbing routes with difficulties of up to 10 degrees ( Saxon difficulty scale ).
