Clitus (son of Aegyptus)
In Greek mythology, Kleitos ( ancient Greek Κλείτος ) is one of the 50 sons of Aegyptus , the twin brother of Danaos .
In the mass wedding of the Aegyptus sons with the daughters of Danaos, Kleitos married the Kleite . While in most of the other marriages of the 50 daughters of Danaos, the Danaids , with the 50 sons of Aegyptus the lot decided on the pairing, in this connection the similarity of names was decisive.
In Hyginus Mythographus , a clytus , possibly read as a clitus and thus corresponding to the Latin form of the name of Kleitos, was married to an autodike.
