The Klemm L 33 was an ultralight aircraft from Leichtflugzeugbau Klemm GmbH .

history

In 1933 Robert Lusser designed the cantilever high-decker Klemm L 33 for the DELA (German Aviation Exhibition) . Only one sample machine was built.

construction

The two-spar wings were made of wood and were covered with plywood up to the front spar . The remaining areas were covered with fabric. Each wing half was intercepted by two short parallel struts to the upper fuselage belt. The open pilot's seat was just behind the wings.

The hull consisted of a welded tubular steel frame, which was stretched with fabric throughout. The normal tail was a wooden framework covered with fabric. The vertical stabilizer with compensating horn was braced to the horizontal stabilizers by an I-post.

The L 33 had a grinding wheel chassis with main wheels without brakes. The aircraft was powered by an air-cooled hanging two-cylinder two-stroke engine DKW "P". The rigid two-bladed propeller was made of wood.
