Cleopatra (daughter of Danaos)
Cleopatra ( Greek Κλεοπάτρα ) was the name of two Danaids in Greek mythology, i.e. two of Danaos ' 50 daughters , which Danaos had from different wives. All Danaids, including the two Cleopatrai, each married one of the 50 sons of Danaos' twin brother Aigyptos . One Cleopatra, whose mother was a Hamadryad ( Atlanteie or Phoibe ), was married through Los Agenor , while the other Cleopatra, daughter of the Naiad Polyxo , became the wife of Hermos . Like all Danaids - except Hypermestra - the two Cleopatrai murdered their husbands on their wedding night .
