The Klewenalp is a hiking and winter sports area above Beckenried in the canton of Nidwalden . The Klewenalp is 1,600  m above sea level. M. above Lake Lucerne . Despite the relatively low altitude, the area is quite snow reliable.

reachability

The area is connected to private motor vehicles and can be reached from Lucerne in 15 minutes on the A2 motorway. The Klewenalp can be reached from Beckenried with a cable car that has a capacity of 80 people or from Emmetten-Stockhütte . Four plants are also operated in summer.

In winter, Klewenalp and Emmetten-Stockhütte are home to a ski area with 13 lifts and two valley runs to Beckenried or Emmetten . The gondola between Emmetten and Stockhütte opened on December 22, 2007. In a start-up phase, it was able to transport 800 people per hour. Skiers can be transported back to Emmetten or Beckenried, especially on peak days. This has increased capacities and reduced waiting times. The ski area extends up to approx. 2000 m (mountain station of the Chälen chairlift ).

In summer the Klewenalp offers various hiking options. The Emmetten-Stockhütte mountain station, the Brisenhaus and the Musenalp near Niederrickenbach are easily accessible . The hike on the breezes is longer and more demanding .
