The Brisenhaus is a Swiss refuge in the northern Uri Alps . It is located in the canton of Nidwalden north of the Brisen at 1753 m above sea level. M. at Beckenriederalp at the northwest foot of the Risetenstock ( 2290 m ) and the Glattegrat . The hut is looked after by the Pilatus section of the Swiss Alpine Club (SAC).
Approaches
The Brisenhaus can be reached via cable cars from the Klewenalp mountain station in 1½ hours and from the Niederrickenbach mountain station in two hours.
Tours
In addition to the eponymous breeze , the following mountains are easy to reach from the hut:
- Smooth ridge ( 2216 m )
- Schwalmis ( 2246 m )
- Schinberg ( 2145 m ): somewhat steep and exposed
Just under an hour's walk east of the hut is the Schynberg climbing garden on the south-west exposed walls of the Schinberg.
