The Risetenstock is a 2289 m above sea level. M. high mountain in the Unterwaldner Voralpen in Switzerland .
The summit lies on the border of the cantons of Nidwalden and Uri , so that the north slope belongs to the municipality of Beckenried , the southern slope to the Uri municipality of Isenthal . The summit is part of a long mountain ridge that runs from the higher breezes two kilometers to the west to the Oberbauenstock in the east and is the second highest point in this mountain range. Another peak of this ridge, the Schwalmis , is about one kilometer north of the Risetenstock. The Brisenhaus and a chairlift for the Klewenalp ski area are located in the Beckenrieder Alp north of the mountain , while Gitschenen, the highest settlement in the valley, is only about two kilometers away in the Isental valley.
The Risetenstock is integrated into the network of hiking trails in its neighboring mountains. There is a summit cross on its summit .
