Alex Gopher , real name Alexis Latrobe , is a French DJ and producer for electronic music .

He made his debut with the band Orange, whose other members later became known as Air , and had intensive contact with Étienne de Crécy . After the group broke up, Gopher took a job as a sound engineer at Studio Translab. He then continued to work with Etienne de Crécy and Air, but also released his first album, You, My Baby and I , in 1999 .

In 2001 Yves Saint Laurent asked him to compose three tracks for his Yves' catwalk show . This ultimately resulted in ten pieces, of which the artist Demon created “club-compatible” remixes and published them on the album Wuz with him .

In 2006, the self-titled album Alex Gopher looked back at the time of the band Orange. The style of the music is more influenced by rock-pop and is based on New Order and The Cure .

In addition, Alex Gopher has produced numerous remixes and EPs from the funk , house and electro genres over the years .

His song "Brain Leech (Bugged Mind Remix)" is played in the 2008 video game Grand Theft Auto IV on the radio station "Electro Choc".
