Jean-Louis Aubert (musician)
Jean-Louis Aubert (born April 12, 1955 in Nantua , Département Ain ) is a French singer and composer.
Life
At the beginning of his musical career he was a member of the group Sémolina , in which he met Richard Kolinka , who was a drummer there. Daniel Roux played the bass. With the group Sémolina, Aubert recorded a single that appeared in the summer of 1976 on WEA. On the A-side you can hear Et j'y vais déjà (written and sung by Daniel Roux) and on the B-side you can find the title Plastic rocker , which was written and sung by Aubert (it was his singing premiere ).
With Richard Kolinka, Corine Marienneau and Louis Bertignac , he founded the Téléphone group in 1976 . It was founded during a gig, as Richard Kolinka had rented a hall for a concert of his group, but the group spontaneously decided not to appear. Téléphone then played in front of 600 people. Between 1976 and 1986 the group recorded five studio albums, had great success and played among other things as the opening act for the Rolling Stones .
The separation from Téléphone in 1986 also marked the birth of Bertignac et les visiteurs and Aubert'n'Ko . Aubert recorded an album with his new group that was released in 1987.
Although Aubert generally worked with the same musicians, he was perceived as a solo artist in the following. Between 1992 and 2001 he recorded four albums. He wrote the score for the 2009 film drama Le dernier pour la route .
