Natasha Saint-Pier (born February 10, 1981 in Bathurst , New Brunswick , Canada ) is a Canadian singer .

Life

Saint-Pier was born in Bathurst, Canada on February 10, 1981, the daughter of a prison director of Italian origin and a senior citizen's home manager. She grew up in Saint-Hilaire ( New Brunswick ) with her brother Jonathan. She took the stage for the first time at the age of eight and experienced classical dance , modern jazz , piano and singing at a very early age . At the age of 12 she was a finalist in the Le pouvoir de la chanson competition and has now intensified her singing. In 1996 she recorded her first album, Emergence , which was only released in Canada. At the same time, she graduated from high school with a desire to become a biologist.

At the age of 18, she played the role of Fleur de Lys in the musical Notre Dame de Paris (Musical) in 1999 . She was offered this role by Luc Plamondon . In 2001 she accompanied the singer Garou on his European tour and spent some time in France. Together with Florent Pagny she published a new version of the song Là-bas by Jean-Jacques Goldman . In the same year she took part in the Eurovision Song Contest in Copenhagen for France and took fourth place.

From autumn 2002 to spring 2003 she went on a European tour. In September 2003 she toured Russia, Spain, Switzerland, Poland and Japan and then through Québec. Two more European tours followed, one from February 2004 to November 2004 and one from April 2006 to the end of January 2007. In 2010 Natasha was on a one-year tour through France, Canada and Belgium. The title of this tour was Confidences autour d'un piano (in German: "Secrets about a piano").

9 March 2012 Natasha married in Lit-et-Mixe ( department Landes ) Grégory Quillack, a French soldier than in Paris firefighter works. He is the father of their son, who was born in 2015.

Her album Bonne Nouvelle was released in April 2012.
